Hi, I’m Amy. Welcome to my site.
I want to share with you a little bit more about what I do and the ethos surrounding health and fitness that I’m so passionate about.
I am a personal trainer who works 1:1 with clients here in Norwich, Norfolk. I also teach fitness classes in my gym including cycle, LBT & Pump.
A few years ago I was working as a primary school teacher. I took my own health and fitness for granted with low calorie diets and gruelling workouts that I just didn’t enjoy. My confidence and self esteem was at an all time low and a stressful job with little work life balance meant that I suffered with depression as a result.
After ditching the diet mentality and focusing on ways of eating and moving that felt really good, I became really passionate about reclaiming health and fitness in a way that actually added to my life.
In the fitness industry there is so much talk of weight loss, thigh gaps and body transformations. Our idea of health and fitness has become completely misconstrued.
My mission as a personal trainer and coach is to put people back in touch with what really matters whist taking into account all of their needs, including their mental health, self care, body image and relationship with food and exercise. Often, just changing our mindset and the way we think about our own health can have a huge impact.
When I’m not in the gym with my clients, I try to raise as much awareness as I can about the fact that fitness is for everybody and every body, regardless of shape, size, ability and gender. Feeling good in your body should be accessible and inclusive to everyone.
